Chiropractic: (Greek: done by hand)
A health care profession concerned with the Diagnosis, Treatment and Prevention of disorders of the Neuromusculoskeletal system (Nerves, Muscles, Joints).
Chiropractors mainly deal with Musculoskeletal disorders. This means that their work is concerned with mechanical disorders of the Spine and Joints and the effect that these disorders may have on the Nervous System and on general health.
All chiropractors must be registered with the General Chiropractic Council, which regulates the profession by setting standards, protecting patients and developing the Chiropractic profession in the UK.
